Whew, it has been a while since the last update. I have been swamped at work (three of my programs deadlined this month) and we all know that Brian rarely updates this thing. I have been extra exhausted lately & usually end up passing out on the couch at around 8:30 pm. I’m pretty sure Brian hates this because it means we rarely get through our tv shows and our DVR is very quickly filling up with things we still need to watch!
Some of the highlights of the past few weeks:
Brian turned 28! We celebrated by having a get-together with friends & their kids one night, and then we had a brunch-for-dinner themed get-together with some other friends the next night.
Audrey is chitter-chattering away…always learning a new word! She & I visited the Little Gym for their free class, and she had a blast!
We attended UVA football’s open practice held in Alexandria. It was Audrey’s first UVA-related event and she has a MAJOR crush on Cav-Man. She would wave to him every time he passed, even if he wasn’t looking. She also donned her UVA cheerleader outfit for the first time ever and got to meet a real-life cheerleader!
Brian & I went to the Caps/Sabres game at the Verizon Center. It was my first time in Chinatown (definitely NOT the last) and it was fun to be able to wander around a little bit. The game was a lot of fun, too, even if the Sabres did lose in OT.
Daffodils & cherry blossoms are blooming! Sorry, Montana. I do not miss your “springs-that-feel-like-winter.” That being said, our weather has been crazy lately. 80s one day, high 40s the next. UGH, make up your mind! I have been on the verge of bringing up my spring wardrobe for the last few weeks, but every time I think about it, we have another cold day.
I PAID OFF MY CAR. I almost forgot to post that! HOORAY!
Audrey has been bitten at daycare four times (okay, three times with the fourth time being an attempt) by the same kid. This has been SO stressful on us and has led to lots of sleepless nights and worrisome days. To make a VERY long story short, Audrey will now be getting an extra person in her classroom whose job is solely to watch out for her all day long. This will go on for a month. Hopefully after that, the problem will be solved! Either way, she will more than likely be moved to a new daycare within the next 6 months.
