A lot has happened since our last blog entry. We have been talking about moving to Virginia for a while now, and we FINALLY have OFFICIAL ORDERS which means we can begin officially planning…and we have. We will be leaving Montana on May 2! We found a house in West Springfield, VA which is about 10 miles from where Brian will be working. It’s also pretty close to DC, so I have a lot of options in terms of where I look for employment. It’s a renovated split-level home with a completely open main level. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a HUGE backyard for our two very energetic labs. If you want to see pictures, click here!
While it feels good to have a house to call home once we get back east, it is very overwhelming to think about everything else we have to do in the next 6-7 weeks. I’m not even going to get into that right now because it stresses me out.
Miss Audrey turned 6-months old on March 12. I simply cannot believe she is half a year old already. Time moves too fast, and sometimes it’s hard not to get a little emotional when I rock her to sleep. She is twice the size she was when she was born, and it’s getting that much harder for her to fit in my arms like she did when she was a newborn. Compared to her 6lb, 18.5 in birth stats, she is now 13 lbs, 14 oz & 25.4 inches long. She is so curious and happy. She’s finally learned how to officially use her jumperoo and will jump like it’s going out of style. She is also very crafty when it comes to getting places she wants to go. We bought her this little toy piano a few weeks ago and she just loves it…one day, I was in the kitchen putting groceries away and I laid her on her playmat. Her new favorite toy, a little piano, was about three feet away. Two minutes after I laid her on her mat, I heard the piano making noise. When I peeked into the other room, there she was, on her belly and playing the piano! She had rolled and propelled herself to it! We are in trouble. I have pictures of it, but can’t find the camera cord at the moment, so I’ll have to upload them later. Her other new favorite hobby is kicking her crib over and over when she goes to sleep…it’s sort of funny to hear “thud, thud, thud” for 10 minutes before she finally decides it’s time for bed!
We had family/6-month pictures taken last weekend, and here is a slideshow of our favorites!
